http://www.dallasnews.com/I think I'll check the Austin new sites, since it looks like there's a senate hearing. For your discussion.

I believe that the truth about this cult is going to break wide open and many will find themselves behind bars for their actions.

Did any of the "families" have separate houses?

3. In many of the other communities yes |
|
This place was a little different. There were a few houses and also some large dormitories to house many of the women and children.

8. Since the "latest prophet" things have gotten much stricter - probably in all compounds |

For instance, if you look at pictures from a few years ago, women were - at least - dressing in small prints, and their dresses were of slightly varying styles. Now, they all look like clones of each other.

4. No. It was dormitory style |
|
Check out the pictures of the place on the web. There are no houses, just large dormitories.
In essence, it was a factory farm for young tail.

I'm hoping they will say something about going after the fathers of all these children for child support. This group is known for milking the welfare system. Seems Reagan's mythical "welfare queen" is not a black woman in the ghetto but really white men in the southwest.

10. Foster kids have special issues. |
|
We need to continue to work with kids who leave foster care before they leave foster care so they do better. General foster care transition stuff now.
Nothing particularly relevant to FLDS, perhaps I missed it. It is interested hearing about dealing with foster care kids. Family decision making, empowering families, mediation supporting family, first time parents having classes available pre-post delivery.
