12. Ok. I'll volunteer for extraordinary rendition...

I've been wondering the same thing for a while now. I've checked all the usual places and emailed all the usual sources and I can't find out anything about either of them.

I hope that they've escaped to a civilized country, where they're busy cranking out a book telling the whole story -- names, dates, actions, felonies et al -- and getting it published by any company not based in the US.

Because you know that a) if they ever found a US publisher, they'd either be the kind that insists on control over final copy, or b) they'd be the kind to stiff them on payment and rat them out to the feds.

But I know nothing, unfortunately. I hope somebody with better contacts than I sets things straight.

21. Oh, it's just about there now. In fact, publishing anything remotely political in the US...

...is largely a dead industry, at least if it's anti-Bush or anti-war or pro-impeachment or offers an unapproved take on "the events of 9/11(tm)" or anything else that differs from official Bushean dogma.

And even if you can get past all the lawyers and orthodoxy gatekeepers, distribution will suck, promotion will be nearly nonexistent, you won't spend much time on the book signing/talk show circuit and ultimately your sales will be "disappointing," as they say.

That fact that their shoddy marketing and distribution practices guaranteed that "disappointment" isn't discussed.

Anyway, I'll keep monitoring this thread for as long as it's practical. Please feel free to PM me if you happen to learn anything and this thread has sunk into page 5 oblivion.
