Miss Cindy says she will NEVER release her tax returns..
privacy issue, so everybody just fuck off. So I guess this means she is in no way financing her husband's career?...

WASHINGTON - Cindy McCain says she will never make her tax returns public even if her husband wins the White House and she becomes the first lady.

"You know, my husband and I have been married 28 years and we have filed separate tax returns for 28 years. This is a privacy issue. My husband is the candidate," Cindy McCain, wife of Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting John McCain, said in an interview aired on NBC's "Today" on Thursday.

Asked if she would release her tax returns if she was first lady, Cindy McCain said: "No."

The Arizona senator released his tax return last month, reporting he had a total income of $405,409 in 2007 and paid $84,460 in federal income taxes. He files his return separately from his wife, an heiress to a Phoenix-based beer distributing company whose fortune is in the $100 million range

2. Maybe she deduced the cost of the drugs she stole?
Or perhaps the McCain's included as a job expense, the cost of firing the guy who uncovered her thievery?

3. Cindy ..... yassee ..... here's the thing .......
When a rich person goes out and buys a horse to ride to the White House, they have to expect scrutiny. You bought a horse named John. Admittedly, he's nothing but an old nag now, and better suited to the glue factory, but you know what I mean. You've been footing the bill all along so he could have all the right contacts and shit. Your country club dues pay for his access. Your wealth rents his planes. Your friends pushed him along.

All Johnny did was what you wanted him to do.

So now ya gotta expect that people will want to know not only abut him, but you too ...... being his Sugar Momma and all.

And besides, even 'those evil Clintons' coughed up mosta their tax records.

You can do it Cindy.

Cantcha?

5. Will the Washington Post even notice?
It sure didn't set well with the editorial board of the Post in 1984 when Geraldine Ferraro didn't want to release her husband's financial information, and it was even less well-received in 2004 when John Kerry's wife didn't think her wealth was a matter of public record. Both candidates were savaged pretty good for spousal reserve about their personal finances.

Will the goose-and-gander principle cause the Post to demand that Cindy McCain open up her pocketbook for a public peek, or will the Post fall back on its sacrosanct principle of IOKIYAR? Time will tell, but I'm betting that Cindy McCain won't.

6. OK...and the complient media will give this an Okey Doke,
Imagine if Michelle had said something like this.

This needs the Bosnia Sniper treatment on the Real Media. It needs to be broadcast everywhere until Chris Matthews' grandmother and Katie Couric's cousins pester them relentlessly as to why they aren't talking about it.

11. This would eclipse the "Wright Stuff" if Michelle had said something that outrageous.
And it is absolutely Outrageous.

Just who do you think you are?

Has the peroxide and botox caused some brain damage?

Or have you lived such a sheltered Princess existence your whole life that you don't GET how the real world works?

There is this little thing called accountability.

Real people find it sorta important.

9. They just handed the Dems a sweet issue
and it's up to the Dems to push it- because the corporate media won't do it on their own.

12. Did Ms. Obama File Separately?
You know, in these instances where we have "power-couples" who are independent financially of each other, I think we will have to re-examine the question at some point. Because if it's good for the McCain's, it should be good for Democrats, as well.

I've always thought public disclosure (as opposed to private forensic accounting by election authorities) for the spouse was a red herring anyway, because money could just as easily be funneled to kids and other close relatives.
