Poll question: Poll: Democratic Convention Keynote Speaker?
Edited on Tue May-20-08 02:21 PM by featherman
They usually pick an up and coming star with potential national future. Recent past choices have included: Obama, Harold Ford, Barbara Jordan, Evan Bayh, Ann Richards, etc.
Here are some choices. Please include any guesses of your own

is a great guy, but yeah, we certainly have much better orators to choose from. mark warner or webb would be better choices from virginia, even though i wouldn't necessarily consider them to be the best speakers we could field either.

She would be a good choice for the Keynote. Good for her campaign.

13. Kennedy will speak if able but not as Keynoter which is a specific slot
There are many speeches but the Keynote is usually reserved for an up and comer

15. Jason Altmire, PA
He's an up and comer and his seat has been targeted by the GOP.

Or, what about everyone's favorite Floridian, Debbie Wasserman Schultz?

I'd also like to hear Linda Sanchez deliver the keynote.

Someone from Michigan would be good too, like Bart Stupak.

Maria Cantwell, senator from Washington might be good too, she's been all over the energy mess.

Sentimental favorite, Teddy Kennedy, would be good too.

There really are so many new faces who could use a little more press, it's hard to name just one.
