Mind blowing tornado experience (video interview)...
This video is just a couple of minutes, but it really is riveting stuff.

A woman accounts being in the basement with her young children, when an EF5 tornado
ripped the entire house away. She could barely hold onto her children. They
were airborne as she tried to keep them from flying away! She describes seeing
the tornado, from the basement--as they looked up and were standing in the eye.

You have to listen to this...it's amazing they're still alive.

2. Wow. So glad they escaped unharmed.
The opening pics from that clip remind me of the OKC/Moore tornado damage pics from the F5 in 1999. It's almost unreal the damage those monster storms can do.

3. Wow, Ironic...tornado moving toward my town now!
I'm in Ankeny Iowa (polk county), and there is a powerful storm
moving this way. We're supposed to get it at 11:52 p.m. tonight.

We have a tornado warning.

Yikes.

4. Be safe.
I'm a native West Des Moiner and I remember the sirens doing off like fireworks during May.

5. A sight so few humans have seen and lived to tell about it.
As I listened to her description of the eye, I thought of those "Storm Chaser" shows. Wow.
