It hasn't paid its debts in over a decade. Now, is that true? If so, that's pretty sick. That said, what's the point in giving money to that particular government? As if it would get to the people.

World Bank, IMF and other world financial agencies are part of the problem not the solution. Likewise many countries have governments that won't help their people. It would be nice if we knew an alternative way to help.

Myanmar/Burma has nothing to offer.
When the WB/IMF goes into a country, they expect sale/privatization of national/natural resources.
They have nothing to sell.
