let me just say I can't wait until we start a whole BRAND NEW dialogue with the world in November 08.

Imagine what our new pictures and messages will look like when Obama gets elected.

What should that new website be called?

Sorry Everybody U.S. Website

Apologies Accepted (That was the reply site)

1. First of all, Hillary wasn't sorry when Kerry conceded.
She helped make that happen.

Second of all, let's reflect on some of the dirty tricks taht occurred when certain nasty aspects of the Hillary campaign raised their un-pretty little heads.

Specifically, when Ed Rendell let it be known that delegates in his state who serve in the Pennsylvania legislature better not expect any monies for their district unless they vote for Hillary.

Extortion is pretty odious stuff.

It somewhat balances out what happened today, except, oh wait, what happened today is best summarized as "There is no real way to fairly reflect an unfair primary." Not the ideal thing and not what anyone would want, except it is about as good as a human being can make it, given the circumstances.

And is even better than what Hillary originally agreed to.

2. I'd love a new website: "I'm Hopeful" For a Democrat, Preferably Barack Obama.
Why not? I wonder what the Europeans would share?

9. Hell, we'd settle for a half-reasonable Repub!
No question, we'd prefer a Dem but we could tolerate a Repub who had his head screwed on straight.

(I'm British, BTW)

11. I fucking LOVED the "apologies accepted" page. My favorite was a message from Germany which read
Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 04:43 AM by BlueIris
something like, "It's okay, America, we know you tried. Just keep the Austrian body builder away from the WH in 2008 and you'll be fine. We had an Austrian in charge of our country once—and you all had to come over here to help us get rid of him!"

Thanks for the memory trip.

15. I hope we don't have to repeat this apology in 08
But we must keep in mind that if they stole the election twice before they can do it again.
I hope there are democratic leaders that don't have a Pollyanna view or the world and keep their eyes wide open.

The first sign that we are in trouble will be the polls and the media telling us it will be a close race. With 70% pf the people thinking this war is a mistake how could they vote for the repug that promises them 100 years of war?

Never the less I have hope and faith in Obama, and will rejoice when he is elected, but I will not ever trust the media to tell us what is really happening.

25. The polls have been telling us for months how close it is.
We're being set up and only an overwhelming show by voters is going to derail "the math".

In both 2000 and 2004 it was a close race that made the * win plausible. We can't let that happen again.

Additionally, if the Republicans want any say in the near future of this country, they can't afford to give up any more Senate and House seats than they absolute, by any means, have too. We can't allow them to steal any of these seats and will need to by hyper-vigilant in November to prevent them doing so.

Those responses were heartwarming, as were the "we're sorry" messages.

so we could write what we are hopeful for. Peace, dialogue, somehow apologizing for the stupid power mongers--I love it.
