President Bush’s name gets no applause at South Carolina GOP convention.
At the South Carolina state GOP convention today, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) “used his remarks to embrace President Bush, just hours before he was to meet Bush at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.” But when Graham first mentioned Bush’s name, the GOP crowd stayed silent, refusing to applaud the President:

At his first mention of Bush’s visit, Graham paused, waiting for applause. When it didn’t come, it took a slight nod from Graham to prompt a round of applause.

“President Bush is my friend,” he continued, “and I’m not going to run away from the friend.”

3. Do you realize exactly what that meant?
I lived in Greenville SC for 6 years. I honestly can't imagine a more Republican State anywhere!

I was Shocked when I read about the "silent protest" that some faculty members did when Shrub spoke at the Furman commencement, and that there were protestors outside the University. Now THIS story about the GOP crowd reaction. I would never havee believed we'd ever see reactions like that from GREENVILLE SC!

Maybe there is some HOPE for America!

5. Graham is like a lost puppy
For the last eight years the party has treated Bush/Cheney like revered rock stars. For the last twenty years the party has walked locked step in unison.
All during that time when he hitched his career to Bush/Cheney Graham was assured high status in the party.

All of a sudden he is now out there alone. The party has moved on.

The man is so confused.

6. Isn't Lindsey Graham neck deep in this banking scam known
as mortagae crisis of the vulnerable? He can't run away from bush because they are connected to what the people clearly can't clap about.

Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain’s national campaign general co-chair was being paid by a Swiss bank to lobby Congress about the U.S. mortgage crisis at the same time he was advising McCain about his economic policy, federal records show. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24844889

7. He's one of the ARCHITECTS of the crisis... He promoted legislation
that made the mortgage meltdown possible, even inevitable..

And now he's McCain's primary economic adviser, perhaps in line to be Treasury Secretary....
