Sort of like a DU with more GD and less GDP?

I am all geared up for the GE against McCain. I still love DU of course, and will always go to GD for lots of facts and resources. But I find that a lot of energy here has been sucked down by GDP and GD has suffered from the drain. I am eager to find a community with a high energy level directed at a Democratic victory in November.

Don't get me wrong, I am not as annoyed as I am bored with all the attention that seems to go with GDP in full throttle...

Of course, I realize that GDP might just wind down significantly in the near future. However, it would be great to have another place to go to use my restless energy.

3. Maybe so, but I'm pretty tired of the same old, same old.
At first I tried to think that it was good that people had a place to vent their frustrations, but it got tiresome and just seemed to feed upon itself instead of reducing the venting.

I'm rarin' to go full tilt against John McCain!

8. I noticed you joined in October of '04. Maybe you lurked over that summer,
but if you didn't, it was nearly as rancourous even when it came down to Dean and Kerry. It was maybe not quite as nasty (I don't think there were as many obvious trolls at that time) but we came together.

Give it another couple of weeks and if you don't, check in after the convention. We'll get together to get the bastards out; count on it.

4. I'd forgotten about democrats.com! Thanks.
I also hope there are newer websites out there that are "cutting edge" now, done with the past and ready to take back America.

5. Tuesday night-Wednesday morning.
There will still be some hardcore idiots and bruised egos, but maybe some of the pissing and moaning will start to die down and we can start to work on winning the fucking election.

Or not.

7. This one. We'll lose a few who maybe don't belong in the first place, but
most will gear up around mid-June to get the bastards out.

Stay tuned.

9. Do MeetUps still have the same level of interest which they did in the past?

11. During the 04 primary season (early on) I tried to join a local Wes Clark Supporters Meetup group.
They met in an Irish pub downtown later in the evenings and it didn't interest me that much. I couldn't see myself coming home from work, having dinner with my spouse and then setting off to go to a bar (spouse was undecided on his primary candidate).

Of course, Clark bowed out very early so it didn't much matter.

In 06 I had several months volunteering at Ned Lamont's hq in New Haven. I was a weekday afternoon "regular" on the phones (by that time I was retired). That was an interesting and rewarding experience!

10. I know how you feel.
I notice even I have started posting more snark and less substance. Seems like when Asswipe kept his job even after 06 a lot of thoughtful and energetic DUers just sort of disappeared and mostly the netvocates remained.

we need a revival.

I wonder how Elad looks in a rainbow wig holding a "DU 3:16" sign?

12. You might try WesPac
http://securingamerica.com/

He is also going to work specifically on a voted on GE campaign:

Thousands and thousands of people cast first round votes in "Serve with the General" - the contest that will send General Wes Clark to one lucky Congressional District to participate in a community service project. The race to get into the final round was extremely close!

Now it is time to pick from the final five districts: Washington's 8th (Darcy Burner), California's 4th (Charlie Brown), North Carolina's 10th (Daniel Johnson), Colorado's 4th (Betsy Markey), or Minnesota's 3rd (Ashwin Madia).

Click here to cast your final round vote: http://democratswork.org/index.php?page=display&id=140. (Every district starts back at zero votes for the final round, so make sure you cast a final round vote.)
