1. My dear Straight Story!
Can't get the story to load...

How old was he?

He's been around for quite a while, I think...

It's always sad to see a major fashion figure pass...

:hi:

8. Sorry my friend, got busy and went to the store with my daughter :)
He was 72 I believe. About me in 30 years - only he had more money and style than I ever will ;)

4. we have unrealistic ideas about aging
72 certainly is "that" old, esp. for a smoker, which i thought he was

it's always sad when a great mind passes, but "not that old" is "not that accurate"

he had a full life and accomplished his dreams, what more can any of us hope for?

5. Technically he's 2 years past the current mortality table . That says we all should be dead by 70.
But I'm 76 years young. I think I have a lot of good years left in me. I won't really consider myself old until I hit 100. Btw, I'm also a smoker.

7. I sit corrected.........
It's probably that my mother, Agnes the Blunt, is 82 years old, feisty, intelligent, still reading and thinking.....I guess I have the feeling that it's not that old. She was 75 when she stopped working!
