Mika can't stop flogging the Trinity Church story.
Yet not a single word about any of McCain's lobbyist scandals. Not sure if it exposes her pro-McCain bias or just here racism.

9. No but she did have a snarky reply to emails complaining.
She basically said I don't care what you think, but I'm going to beat this dead horse as much as I like.

4. She's flogging it, but no one is really biting. Maybe she's doing a
service to Obama; bring it up enough and it becomes old news.

And I don't think she's a racist; it's news, her job is to talk about it.

Her corporate masters have most likely put the kibosh on any negative McCain story, but once this primary is a done deal, I don't think they can hide the facts any longer. Come on, Tuesday/Wednesday! Light at the end of this everlovin' tunnel!

7. Not so sure about that.
When Chris Matthews was on the other day he questioned why they were even discussing it. She is spending much more time on it than any other MSNBC show.

5. Ya Got A Crazy Lobbyist Video To Keep Showing???
Maybe there's a video of Charlie Black lapdancing or Phil Gramm in a drunken rage. Nah...they're slick operators who do their obscene acts behind closed doors.

Seems like some at M$NBC still watch too much Faux noise and get their "show prep" from Drudge.

6. WTF?
I was watching before the weekend (TH or FR??) she made a comment about how that video is going to be played over and over, as if she was removed from the situation, as if the news outlets were going to play it over and over. The older guy that was on the show (I forgot his name) said "we" are going to play it over and over as if to snap her back into reality.

Didn't she try to light a script on fire, live, because it was a Paris Hilton or Britney Spears piece and she objected to its newsworthiness? What happened to that Mika?

8. Let's not forget something here:
Mika is not the alpha talent on that show, so she does not have a lot of juice on what stories run. Those decisions are generally made by producers.

It is very evident to me that where the right has made its greatest strides in polluting and shifting the news industry to their agenda is in the ranks of producers. They are the ones who really "make" the news. They make the decisions on what runs and what gets flogged and how stories are presented.

10. She is the alpha talent when Joe is away.
And she is spending much more time on it than either CNN or FOX or any other MSNBC show. Even guests like Tim Russert are not pushing the story but she questions every guest on it.

11. Contessa is flogging it further and bloviating breathlessly
because Mika is done for the day. After all, we need to keep this in the newscycle, it's more important than the Iraq War.
