On March 16, 2003, on the eve of the United States' invasion of Iraq, Pastor John Hagee took to the pulpit to warn of the coming Antichrist. In his sermon, "The Final Dictator," Hagee described the Antichrist as a seductive figure with "fierce features." He will be "a blasphemer and a homosexual," the pastor announced. Then, Hagee boomed, "There's a phrase in Scripture used solely to identify the Jewish people. It suggests that this man (the Antichrist) is at least going to be partially Jewish, as was Adolph Hitler, as was Karl Marx."

This "fierce" gay Jew, according to Hagee, would "slaughter one-third of the Earth's population" and "make Adolph Hitler look like a choirboy."

Max interviewed people at last years CUFI and they said the antichrist is a peace maker and here now. Though they didn't say so, I was convinced it was Jimmy Carter, and I like him. I am just glad Carter is not the antichrist.

10. My pastor said he thought that...

...the anti-christ would be gay. After the sermon myself a few others said that he didn't have any proof of that and that he shouldn't say stuff like that without evidence. He took it pretty well, but he's always looking for feedback from people.

ON EDIT: I guess I should say that this was a particularly strange message for that day and the only time I can remember the anti-christ being mentioned at all at my church. It wasn't in the context of a "let's hate gays because they might be the anti-christ" type of thing...that's just stupid.

Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

- Daniel 11:37

Fundies believe that this "king" referred to in Daniel 11 is the Antichrist. Hagee interprets "God of our fathers" as a uniquely Jewish phrase, and assumes AC would be Jewish. Since Christ was Jewish, this really isn't out of the question.

If someone does not "regard the desire of women", I suppose homosexual orientation would be one explanation, though that is certainly open to interpretation.

the Pope (Revelations - 7 hills, 7 headed monster etc.) However the church has since stopped teaching that - but you can still find references to it in old books:) Personally I dont believe in Christ yet alone and AntiChrist.

I do not believe in the divinity of Jesus, I do not think people should accept Jesus as their saviour as it is nothing but a mental cloud of unreality, I think it is all a bunch of fairy tales designed to keep the kiddies in line, and I try to talk everybody I can out of believing said fairy tales. Death to all and everything rather than having to admit that they were wrong.
