Anyone here participate in Amazon Mechanical Turk?

I do some of the Turk HITS for about an hour a night to get Amazon gift certificates to feed my book habit. If anyone's not familiar with Turk, here's a reference:

I just wanted to mention something weird - there's a requester who puts up bulk HITS who calls himself "TwoVSOne". He lists anywhere from 2 to 15 photos and asks you to flag any that contain pornography, depict extreme violence or something they call 'perceived criminal behavior'. Fair enough - except almost every photo they show is of African Americans. Most of the photos are everyday in nature, graduation photos and whatnot, a few show gangbanger types doing nothing more than looking into a camera - nothing criminal there - but interspersed with these photos are pictures of guns and piles of cash. There's something really racist about only posting photos of African-Americans that ask you to flag 'perceived criminal activity'. Maybe it's a graduate student doing some kind of a study, but there's something not right here. And this guy must be paying Amazon a lot of cash for this, because he puts up thousands of these per day, all of black people.

I know it's fruitless to complain to Amazon, because they don't seem to kick anyone off their Turk service (Amazon takes a cut) but this has been raising my hackles. I'm taking the HITS just to counter the racists who are probably flagging every other photo. It's weird. I've only been on Turk for a couple of weeks, so is this kind of crap normal?
