So the administration says if the climate bill passes gas prices could rise $.53 by 2030. Do they
know that gas prices have risen $1.69 in the last 22 years (comparsion in today's dollars)? In 1976, gas was about $2.10, and at a minimum, is $3.79 today.

"WASHINGTON - Playing the gasoline card, the Bush administration on Monday predicted that a climate change bill before lawmakers this week could raise pump prices by as much as 53 cents a gallon by 2030."

2. 53 cents?
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I don't even know where to start with that one.

The very idea that ANYTHING will be the same in 2030 as it is now is only preposterous enough that a Republican could expect it to be so.

5. Didn't it go up by 53 cents LAST WEEKEND?!
I kid, but not by much. It couldn't have been more than a few weeks ago it was at $3.50.

We're up to $5.00/gal already. He must think we're dumber than he is if he thinks that we would believe him. Maybe he was mistaken and really meant to say $53 by 2030, either that, or he meant that the 53 cent increase would take place by 8:30 pm the evening the bill is signed into law.

7. This the same administration that said the war in Iraq would be over in 6 months?
I don't think they have much credibility when it comes to forecasting the future.
