Cheney Offers False Excuse For His ‘So?’ Comment: I Meant, ‘What’s The Question, Martha?’»

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/06/02/cheney-so-revise/

During his speech at the National Press Club today, the moderator gave Cheney a chance to apologize. “Do you wish that you had answered that question differently?” she asked. “Does it matter if the public disagrees sharply with the wisdom of the war?” Cheney instead made up an excuse about his initial comments, claiming that Martha had never asked him a direct question:

MODERATOR: Do you wish you had answered that question differently? Does it matter if the public disagrees sharply with the wisdom of the war?

CHENEY: No, when I said, “So?” the point was, “What’s the question, Martha?” She made the statement; she didn’t ask question.

1. ...when I said, "So?" the point was
"Go f*** yourself". I thought that was obvious.

sounds like a question was offered by Martha to Big Dick

http://abcnews.go.com/WN/Vote2008/story?id=4481249&page=1

here is his response:

When asked how that assessment comports with recent polls that show about two-thirds of Americans say the fight in Iraq is not worth it, Cheney replied, "So?"

"You don't care what the American people think?" Raddatz asked the vice president.

"You can't be blown off course by polls," said Cheney, who is currently on a tour of the Middle East. "This president is very courageous and determined to go the course. There has been a huge fundamental change and transformation for the better. That's a huge accomplishment."

Again, Dick is a liar. Why didn't the interviewer challenge him on his response, I would have loved to see him wiggle out of this one.

4. Cheney feels compelled to explain?
That IS breaking news. The heartless bastard didn't feel like he had to explain his actions at all after he shot his pal in the face, and there are scads of unanswered questions from that day.

It would appear the annelid is making a directional change.

5. She DID ask a question
Darth is just so comfy with the fact that they don't care about opinion polls (unless it benefits them) that he took it as a statement and replied accordingly. "So?" i.e. "Yeah, that's right, so what?"
