The Most Effective Way To Couple McCain With Bush: It's Very Simple And It Works
Edited on Mon Jun-02-08 03:34 PM by Better Believe It
Just run this picture over and over and over again in TV commercials, flyers and newspaper ads during the election campaign. Every potential voter should become familiar with this photo that tells you everything you'd want to know about the McCain/Bush relationship.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

FOUR MORE YEARS!

The vast majority of people (outside of hardcore progressives) have never seen this photo. Everyone should see it. Let's make it so!

9. And this one should always accompany it.
That birthday cake photo, combined with reminders of what was going on in NOLA while they let themselves eat cake, is devastating.

2. Bingo
I've been saying that for months.

We could have nominated an actual donkey and won just by displaying that photo. So the ad budget for Obama could be pretty small- just that photo and some sinister voice-over. "Is this what you want for the next four years?"

4. Yup!
Or the voice-over could say: "Four More Years! I don't think so."

I have yet to see this photo on TV. It should be shown on TV over and over and over again.

This would be in addition to other effective commercials, not a sole substitute. The point is it should get the widest possible circulation in the mass media.

3. I like this photo even more.

7. The Democratic party should by hundreds of 30 second spots
starting the week before the election and all 30 seconds would flash pictures of bu$h and his buddy McCain.
No words required.

macho, the submissiveness McCain displays in this photo is bound to bother the "manly men" who want a swaggerin', red-meat-eatin', beer-swiggin', shotgun-blastin' real man cowboy for president.

18. Nice, But Impeachment Would Be Far More Effective
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 11:54 AM by Senator
It would force McCain -- and his Euphemedia enablers -- onto the defensive, trying to defend the indefensible. Particularly his core, self-identity-level, hypocritical flip-flop on torture. It would be, ironically (and sadly), a practically "rovian" thing to do.

The vast majority of people already know that Republicans hug each other at public events.

What they long for -- and would respond to -- is a demonstration of the will to DO some damn thing, other than trying to manipulate them with rhetoric and media (beltway business as usual).
