I signed a petition to get Bob Barr on the ballot today

Some college-aged kid was outside of Stop and Shop asking people to sign his petition to get Bob Barr on the ballot in Massachusetts. (Bob Barr is the Libertarian nominee for President.) He said, "You don't have to vote for him, just help him get on the ballot." This guy didn't seem especially excited about Barr, and I suspect he was working under cover. What both he and I realize is

Bob Barr could pull away a significant chunk of McCain's support if he gets on the ballot in enough swing states.

Sign those petitions, everyone!

because, like it or not, there is still a segment of the population that will never vote for a black or a woman. They don't want Gramps in office screwing them over like Stupid has, so they'll vote for Barr.
