5. some people in inner-city Detroit have taken up farming...
Abandoned lots are that plentiful. There are areas that have taken on almost a rural character.


It could be nice there, if the people were given a guarantee that the city couldn't just take the land and buildings away from them once they'd done the work of making them valuable again.


If I had the power, I would create a kind of Homestead Act for current residents of Detroit.

I can't even go back and look at it anymore. It's turned into the armpit of the country.
