Is Bubba Fading?
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 04:34 PM by qwertyMike
I don't know.

Bill Clinton, a hero of mine, seems to be acting strange.

Don't get me wrong: I saw him on TV firing off numbers and opinions like the Rhodes Scholar he is in the last few years.

Your opinion?

Mike

I mean this with the utmost respect

6. NOT Flame Bait
I care for the man very much.

I am from Belfast N. Ireland and he made many visits/speeches there during his second term when there was nothing in it for him.

We have a statue of him here.

Mick

If you think I'm flaming, then go suck

2. I just heard some clip where he was complaining
(rightly so) about the article in Vanity Fair. He was totally blaming Obama -- HE has others come out and slime me -- or something like that.

I think he's been a loose cannon lately.

3. No he's already faded
He has totally destroyed his image over the past few years beginning with his public suckups to daddy boosh and descending into utter douchebaggery with his sorry performance during this campaign season.

4. Last time I saw him, he was looking a little worn
And that was in January before the punishing primary schedule
got into full swing. He did have that bypass surgery a few years
ago, and instead of taking it easy, like I'm sure his doctors
told him, he was out there immediately in Africa, in Europe, around
the USA. He probably thought he could handle it all, and forgot that
although he is a special mortal, he is still mortal, and running
around the planet like it was no bigger than the Boston Common can
take a toll even on a healthy body.

5. He is an advocate for his wife.
He wants her to win. He is proud of her and he has reason to be regardless of what the media and the haters say. It's politics. Michelle Obama is an advocate for her husband. That is the way it works. I remember the good years when he was president. I had a job, cash in my pocket, insurance I could afford, college tuition for my daughter and a house which was paid for. I will not say anything negative about him.

7. I think we'll see a more familiar Bill Clinton once he gets out of Hillary for President mode.
Some are placing his personailty change on his heart surgery though. That could be true too. I once knew a bass player that looked like fat albert. They guy gave amazing electrfying performances. Then he had a heart attack. After that the energy and the magic was gone. He wasn't really the same after that. That could be what's happening with Clinton.

8. I am reminded why..
.. no lawyer would represent a family member in a critical trial or no doctor would operate on a family member. There is no way you can be objective when something so critical and cool to one you love is on the line. Bill has always had a passion for politics and that is why I like him. I will cut him some slack AS LONG as he gets on the bus when the time counts for the country.
