But I will not denounce them because I love them and feel sorry for them.

6. Did he say he had compassion for O'Reilly, Limbaugh, etc., themselves? Of course not.
All he said was that he feels sorry for those who getted hooked into the bullshit. This may surprise you, but they're not all monsters in human form.

3. Politics can divide families, especially during trying times, so we don't talk politics at dinner.
We talk about sports, food, fishing and maybe, just maybe, jobs and the economy, but that last bit often spills over into Democrat v. Republican.

We VERY RARELY talk politics, but when we talk about life we almost always agree. It's kinda funny.

8. LOL - I love how people on both sides of the political spectrum
puff up their opponents into these gruesome caricatures. Ultimately, people are people, and political distinctions or "labels" don't always mean a whole lot, especially in this country where the discourse tends to range from middle-of-the-road to extreme right, i.e. not very broad or diverse.

9. I don't know
I don't believe a word any of those guys say, but I must say they're pretty amusing. That fact that what they say is such obvious and complete bull makes it easy to relax and enjoy, without worrying about the degree of truth to in it.

12. I'd agree, except it doesn't seem to be all that "obvious"
to a stubborn 30% (give or take) of the population...

It's not that hard to drop a hint here and there that there might be some stuff on those programs that aren't exactly, you know, true.

Oh, and Welcome to DU :toast:

13. Thanks
I'm still waiting for the day when one of them comes out and says:

"You do realize this is liberals/democrats mocking Republican/conservatives, right?"
