Speaking of VPs from New York..
Whatever happened to George Pataki, and why isn't he in the McSame Veep sweepstakes?

1. Hmm, good point. Didn't he have some health problems?
Haven't seen much of him in public period during this primary
season (?).

3. She keeps saying she doesn't want the job
..and, besides, I don't see her playing well on the stump.

I think he really wants Charlie Crist, but there are some issues to overcome on that pick. Most Republicans agree Jindal needs more seasoning. Mittens doesn't bring much to the table against money. Huckabee repels as many potential voters as he brings in.

4. I think it will be Jindal. The Right loves the guy.
His positions are VERY extreme.

But I think the rest are a bunch of tired faces. Could be Romney; he really wants it badly.

6. I think Jindal will be a candidate in '12
You're right -- they love him.

He doesn't have a lot of seasoning, and people are going to need to be convinced that McSame's veep can take over, because there's a decent chance he'll have to. OTOH, there's an argument to get him on the National stage now and away from the corruption cesspool that is Louisiana politics.

5. That's all a part of the trial balloon phase...
...the GOP pulls this crap all the time.

They send out feelers to see how their "idea" will go over with the public and, depending on how determined they are, will either pretend it never happened or "adjust" the "idea" to better fit with the reaction of the public.

They pulled it with Social Security, and invading Iraq, they'll pull it with Mc43's VP too.

7. I think they want to tailor their pick to pull the most independent votes
The Machivellian move would be to pick Ron Paul, but the Paul and McSame won't be able to reconcile their war views.

10. Actually, I suspect the GOP VP will be someone young...
...to take over after Mc43 has his last senior moment.
