2. AIPAC is almost entirely pro-Likud Party as far as I'm concerned. I don't much like Likud's policies
They are far too right wing, and they have made things worse for Israel by being so staunchly in support of building more colonial settlements in the West Bank, aggravating an already ailing peace process.

3. AIPAC is the most feared lobby inside the beltway.
There's a reason all the top candidates kiss up to AIPAC. They swarm like piranha against any inside the beltway pol who bucks them consistently. Their numbers are staggering. They have their people everywhere, in the middle of every congressional race and presidential campaign.

They're Israel's lobby in America. They don't care if you're Democrat or Republican. Vote wrong by them, and they'll spend a million in your primary trying to beat you in that congressional district you thought was fairly safe.

4. AIPAC does seem to be very much feared by our representatives.
During Israel's appalling assault on Lebanon two years ago, not so many as one member of the House or Senate, that I can recall, stood up to condemn the bombing of civilians as they fled north as instructed by the Israeli army, or the dropping of thousands of cluster bombs in civilian populated areas toward the end the assault.

As you say, our representatives are clearly afraid of AIPAC. This leaves little doubt who's been deciding U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East -- and it's been a total disaster.
