Dear Freepers and Die-hard Conservatives: MCCAIN?!? Really? Here's some food for thought

I know you are saddened by McCain's complete and miserable failure of an attempt to upstage Senator Obama's speech last night. He certainly did quite well for himself, one of the best speeches he's given during the campaign so far, in front of one of the biggest crowds (nearly 300). After all, Obama just barely drew in a crowd 100 times that size at the very convention center your RNC will hold it's convention later this year. I mean, it was utterly ridiculous that 15,000 people had to stand outside and watch Obama's speech on television screens. I mean, these people could have just stayed home and watched this, but nooooo, they went there and stood outside, just so they could be near it all (I'm not much for going to sporting events either. I like to see everything on my HD in the comfort of my own home. But I digress)

McCain is one of the most liberal Senators in the Republican party. Sure, he's a misogynistic self-centered, war-mongering right-winger. But underneath that tough, ex-military exterior (that isn't pasty, flaking or, well, swollen with cancer-laden tumors), there's a soft, pink underbelly just waiting to be exposed. He wants to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants, he wants to save the environment from global warming by going green (hulk-green) and he wants to end torture and rendition (for the most part), while wasting billions of dollars on unnecessary things like health-care and education for veterans who have served our country. Yes, the American Conservative Union has given him a lousy life-time rating of 82% (that's out of 100), one of the lowest of any Republican Senator (well, except for Joe Lieberman). I know it's very difficult for you to get excited about him, but you have a choice!

Ron Paul IS STILL IN THIS THING. In fact, recently in New Mexico, he got just over 15,000 votes (where have I heard that number recently?) and 14% of the vote. FOURTEEN PERCENT. Paul is RISING I tell you. Last week in Idaho, he got 24% of the vote (McCain got only 70%). Paul has done similarly in the remaining Republican contests throughout May while McCain has bounced erratically between 70 and 80%. Paul still has a massive grass-roots effort, leveraging the power of the Internet to organize and raise funds. He is a far more on-the-ball conservative who would return to the traditional conservative mantra of fiscal responsibility and Constitutional Freedoms. He's a former fly-boy (yep, and I don't think he crashed 5 planes) as well as a medical doctor (OBGYN). He even has his own YouTube channel. Meanwhile, you've got McCain who can barely read off a teleprompter and whose aides deliver invitations to Obama BY HAND ON PAPER. I mean, ever hear of email?!? Talk about politics of the past!

If Ron Paul isn't your type, you've still got another choice. Bob Barr. Now there's a true conservative. So what if he's running on the Libertarian ticket. This guy is the poster child of Conservatism, with a life-time rating of 98% from the ACU. He is smart, represents everything you could ask for from a true Conservative, and actually has raised a good amount of cash via the Internet since he's officially entered the General Election. He can actually converse, give a decent speech, knows how to post on YouTube and embed the movies on his website and he's even got a freaking MUSTACHE! Yes, this guy has the right stuff!

You guys are lucky. Decisions. Decisions. Decisions. I really envy you guys. You've got one of the best problems to have.

2. It's evident in their fractured state. We must emphasize this and encourage it.
Allow them to be divided when we steamroll over them in November.

5. Arianna Huffington has written a book on McCain that she was
touting on Jay Leno tonight. Sorry, I don't remember the title. She says it has a money back guarantee. She states that if you still want to vote for McCain after you read her book that she will refund your money.
