1. They Sure Can't Jump On A Gramps Talking Point Fast Enough
I think it'd be cruel to force Gramps to try to compete one-on-one with Obama. Do his lobbyists handlers really want to do this? I know it's a cheap way out...gets Gramps on TV all summer and costs him nothing, but is getting his ass handed to him so thoroughly worth it? I honestly think he couldn't endure that kind of schedule. But then Gramps doesn't expect it to happen...just another PR stunt in many to come.

The fun is that Gramps already is shadow boxing with Obama...it's like he needs to build up his credibility and keeps trying to upstage or pander to get attention.

I think Senator Obama should debate Gramps in September or October...save the fun for later.

A new slogan for this campaign should be: Eagles Don't Fly With Turkeys

Cheers...

Comparing Gramps to Lincoln is like comparing gold with pyrite.

:hi:

3. They sure buy Rethug talking points
The other one being spewed since yesterday is Rezko. The GOP links have been forgotten - he's now Obama's fund raiser. For Rethugs, timing is everything.

7. The Elephant In That Room
The biggest revelation of that trial was the attempts by Rezko to get Rove and the DOJ to "call off the dogs"...and guess who that is. Patrick Fitzgerald. Looks like someone was trying to throw sand in the umpire's eyes again. I get a feeling we'll have a Fitzgerald-Rove rematch in the future.

The guy who has a lot to sweat from this conviction is Rod Blagoovich...the inept Governor...but then we may just recall his ass first.

Cheers...

8. Indeed
Did you notice that when McWar was inviting Obama to town hall meetings he, like this jackass Hensarling, referred to the Democrat Party.

10. The Old Political Axiom
You call for debates when you're behind...to get yourself attention and try to knock your opponent down. Gramps people know they have to both "energize" their shrinking base and depress Obamas. Voter suppression only goes so far.

The "blessing" here is they're using the codewords and mems they think will bail their asses out...and they just don't realize it doesn't work.

I love this lady telling Jeb boy to "shut up"

13. Even the Rethug callers are giving them the finger this morning
There are 300 million people in this country and the best you can come up with is John McCain - Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! This morning is really better than our coffee.

5. It's A Desperation Game
Gramps needs attention...to suck off of Obama's limelight to stay in the news. He's got nothing to run on...instead he's running from. The only way he has a chance is to try to bring Obama down...play the "adult" in some silly school president election.

With the primaries finally wound down, the ground war for November begins and Gramps knows he's badly out-spent and out-manned. Here's where the 50-state primaries are gonna pay off. He won't get any "buzz" until his convention...what can he do to get attention? He's tried the Iraq clock and then tried to upstage Obama the other night (what a disaster) and this is the second time he's pulled the "town hall" stunt.

Right now is party building time...it's when you put your teams in place for the fall push. Obama and his people know this...meanwhile Gramps will keep trying PR stunts.

Cheers...

12. LOL, again, I have to agree, Not sure if Obama sucks for the bait...
I hope not.

If I was McStrangetalk, I would fall off a convinient stage and do a Gary Bauer.

4. I'm a little puzzled by his offer. His advisors CAN'T think
that these would work for him. All I can guess is that there's some new way they've thought of to game the format. Pre-sale control of tickets?

14. This Dude Is Painful...
He's like a bad Tom DeLay impersonator.

The spin game here is to try to blame all the corrpution they did on the Democrats. It's like they never were in the majority. I'm not sure who hates Pelosi more? Some of the folks here at DU or John Boner.

These dudes look absolutely clueless. Their party is imploding and booosh has hung 'em out to dry.

19. Ya Think??
Next thing you'll tell me there were concern trolls here...

But then it's kinda fun to hear the wingnuts keep complaining that their lines are "rigged" as well. I'm sure the C-SPIN producers feel this way things are "fair and balanced".
