make it all worth while. I can hear the strain in the voices of my local right wing radio hosts. They are gonna be awful unhappy for the next 6 months.

4. If only sexists would feel some discomfiture. But, yes, I'm enjoying it all...
it was great voting for Doug Wilder as Gov. of Virginia.

His sitting in Jeff Davis's chair was just as good as Lincoln doing so.

6. They're freaking out on many levels
He's half black. EEEK!

He's not a reliable DLC corporatist. EEEEEEEEEK!

He's going to end their glorious war and the military contractor gravy train. EEEEEEEEEEEK!

The failure thus far to find anything he's done wrong means that he might be honest. The biggest EEEEEEEK! of all!

I don't think any of us should underestimate the threat he represents to these people. They fear change above all things, and he represents the most change they've ever had to face in their rotten lives.

7. All worthwhile even after an eminently qualified black man is defeated
most likely because of his race? Dunno about that.

9. Then this is the MINUTE for all of us to decide whether we're going to
educate ourselves about the way the votes have been stolen from us in the past and what to do to prevent it happening again - and do it peacefully with brains and determination.

Needed: THOUSANDS of volunteers who will watch every movement of the votes, prevent caging, prevent wrong messages. Now is the time to ask Air America or some communication system to allow some air time to be able to counter all those horrid letters and directions to get minorities away from the voting booths. Arrange it now so that people know where to call to confirm that they are going to the correct place, on the correct day, at the correct time.

Now is the time to set up pretend voting rooms so that each person can get a walk-through and understanding of how to check-in, how to fill out the ballot, how to read it, how to make sure it is accounted for.

NO MORE catastrophes of dishonesty, misunderstanding, confusion. Reported on tv, then forgotten. Each precinct needs a walking, breathing SCOPES type operation.
