The Michelle Obama "Whitey" tape: Bullshit. Here's Why:
Edited on Thu Jun-05-08 10:08 AM by cali
Purportedly this dvd was made in 2004 at a conference in Chicago and was widely available for sale through Trinity until March of this year when it was whisked away by Obama minions. Oh really? So that means that hundreds if not thousands of people have seen it. Where are they all? How come an enterprising reporter can't get hold of a copy? Why were the Clintons unable to get hold of one and leak it? And seriously, if Michelle Obama made these incendiary comments, why wasn't that reported contemperaneously? Barack was running for the U.S. Senate at the time. It strains all credulity to believe that she made these startling comments and no one in the Chicago media reported on it it.

This is a classic, ugly whisper campaign. It's racist garbage. There's not a shred of proof. The people pushing it disgusting.

2. If it were real, they'd release it today.
Because it's BS, they'll try to dump it at the last moment, hoping it can't be debunked in time for the election. I think we've already dealt with it, though, so I'm not too worried about it. I am interested in knowing more about Cindy McCain ripping off her NGO to feed her narcotics habit, though.

4. This is another GOP distraction/trial balloon.
They want everyone to ignore what their boys are doing, and they want to frighten their followers.

5. I wouldn't put it past
some stooopid 527 group to "enhance" the video to make it seem like she's saying something inflammatory. Of course it would be proven a fake in about 2 minutes but that wouldn't stop them from trying to influence the few people who believe anything they are told if it reinforces their already irrational beliefs.

7. I just read another website that supposedly Rove has it
and that he's gonna release it after the convention. Now take this with a big grain of salt, the guy that posted this info is a Ron Paul bot.

It makes no sense that if Rove had it already, why hasn't he leaked it already. Everyone knows that McCain would beat Hillary easily, Obama not so much..

I also agree with the OP. This was supposedly available until sometime this year on Trinity's webssite. It's all BS...

13. That's funny.
I read that Giuliani has it.

I think it's bullshit too. MO is not stupid. I doubt she would jeoprodize her husband's career by making intentionally inflammatory statements in front of a large audience.

6. Racist garbage is all they've got, so we'll see lots more of it..
it won't work this time though.

It's over GOP. You had your little run of fun. Congratulations, mission accomplished, country destroyed.

The American people will be looking for change this year, and the same warmed over crap you have to serve up just won't fly. Your party is toast. The Democrats will annihilate you in November and your relevance will be next to nil come January.

8. Much of the garbage will be directed at Michelle, just because she's darker.
Sad but true. It will give the usual contingent of Republican misogynists and racists something to rally behind.

Sick, but if you've ventured into the open online forums, you'll see it whenever the chance to bring up Obama's family comes up.

10. I hope you are right
I don't have a lot of faith in the general public myself. I think if it turned into a major news story it would be devastating.

12. If they wanna go after the wives--well...
You're U.S. Senator John McCain, and you've got a big problem. Your wife, Cindy, was addicted to prescription painkillers. She stole pills from a medical-aid charity she heads and she used the names of unsuspecting employees to get prescriptions.

The public is about to find out about it.
Until now, you've managed to keep it all quiet. When Tom Gosinski, a man your wife fired, sued for wrongful termination and threatened to expose the whole sordid story, you didn't hesitate to call in the big guns.

John Dowd, the attorney who got you out of your Keating Five mess, worked on getting your wife a sweetheart deal with federal prosecutors. He also made Gosinski's lawsuit go away.

(It gets worse--read on)
