Verizon Wireless is buying Alltel

So does that mean Verizon Wireless may have more cell tower coverage now? Not sure how that works.

Less companies = less competition so that is one disturbing aspect of the deal.

1. Verizon is fucking evil. Switch to Credo.
I did and now part of my bill goes to supporting good causes.

Minor caveat: in spots the coverage isn't as good as Veri$on, so check the charts to make sure it will work for you.

2. They'll have more coverage, but they already roamed on Alltel, so won't be a big deal. nt

3. If you've ever seen "Demolition Man"
In the future all the restaurants were "Taco Bell".

So that's the future, every store will be a Wal-mart, every restaurant a Taco Bell....

5. Yes
But it will be less expensive. Don't get too afraid. They are also buying a ton of debt from Alltell. But, it means AT & T can't catch them at number of subscribers.
