Why hard-working Bellevue man was killed a mystery
Source: The Seattle Times

It was May 21, a Wednesday afternoon, and Ivan Hernandez-Vazquez had just finished class at Interlake High School in Bellevue. He came home, ate lunch, then left around 3 p.m. to walk to a nearby bank.

I'm going to wire money to my grandmother in Mexico, he told his guardian. It won't take long.

The next morning, police found his body behind a million-dollar home in the Seattle neighborhood of View Ridge. He'd been stabbed in the neck.

The recent slaying of Hernandez-Vazquez, 18, a junior at Interlake, has sent shock waves through the high school and the affluent community where he was found.

3. Is this the story from like last week where they found a body
in an alley in View Ridge? He was just a high school kid? Geesh, I sort of lost track of this story in the last week and just now saw this post.

I live in Jackson Park in NE Seattle, by the way, and just wondering how this kid ended up in View Ridge.

I live about 4 blocks from where the body was found, but i'm not feeling any "shock waves", Seattle Times.

Poor kid - i'd assumed a drug deal gone awry, but now it sounds like robbery.
