Um, I thought we were going to impeach Cheney first...
This is impeachment of George W. Bush only. I don't want President Cheney, even for a few months.

3. At this late date, it doesn't make a whole lot of difference.
However, I do agree with you. Don't want Cheney for one single minute.

4. He already filed against Cheney... now it's Bush's turn!!
http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Kucinich_presents_Bush_impeachment_articles_0609.html

snip-->

Kucinich, a 2004 and 2008 Democratic candidate for the White House, abandoned a prior attempt to begin impeachment proceedings against Bush in January of this year.

In April of 2007, Kucinich presented impeachment articles against Vice President Dick Cheney, but the effort went nowhere. Kucinich exclaimed that "impeachment may well be the only remedy which remains to stop a war of aggression against Iran."

Before leaving office in January 2007, Rep. Cynthia McKinney--currently a Green Party presidential candidate--introduced articles of impeachment against President Bush as her last act in Congress, but that effort also was fruitless.

6. Articles of Impeachment for Cheney
... have been introduced. It actually passed, (republicans tried a trick to force debate and humiliation of democrats)... the gutsy (not) democrats next step would be to bring it up for debate, but my guess is it is being held in committee, and not coming to the floor for a vote on the actual impeachment.

Even if the House voted and passed the resolution of Impeachment (for either of the crooks), the next step would be for a Senate Trial to be held ... overseen by the Chief Justice (Roberts)....

Impeachment could happen in one day, if the House voted for it, but the trial itself could take a lot of time.

In any case, getting all of this actually on the congressional record, is a good thing. I'm not too hopeful that anything would actually be done in the Senate.

For those of us who believe in the Rule of Law, this is a good thing. Will there actually be a removal from office? Not with the current makeup of the Senate.

I'd like to think of it this way... they are paving the road for criminal prosecution after they are out of office.

9. The resolution was killed...
Kucinich introduced a resolution last year to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney. That resolution was killed, but only after Republicans initially voted in favor of taking up the measure to force a debate.
