Katherine Harris vs. Katherine Harris
The Orlando Sentinel has a political blog where it hides, er, prints the news of political interest. Should be bookmarked by political news junkies. Here's a tidbit on Harris:

Katherine Harris vs. Katherine Harris

Mock if you must, but we're as giddy as a schoolgirl over this nugget of news: Jamie Miller, who did time as Katherine Harris' campaign manager during her stunningly bad, wildly entertaining bid for U.S. Senate, says he's writing a book about the experience.

Tentatively titled "Katherine Harris vs. Katherine Harris: The Rise and Fall of a Political Icon," it's almost half-written said Miller, a former executive director of the Republican Party of Florida. It'll trace Harris' career from a little known state legislator to Secretary of State to member of Congress to the now infamous 2006 senate campaign.

That campaign was one of the most surreal in modern political history. Harris went through four campaign managers and a gaggle of other key staffers on her way to a 20-point defeat at the hands of Democrat Bill Nelson.

The outcome was a formality given Harris' off kilter -- at times downright odd -- behavior during the campaign. It's hard to know where to begin, but here are a few examples:

-- Ex staff members told stories of Harris raging over petty things, yelling at aides, for example, because they'd brought her the wrong coffee.
-- At times, she and the truth weren't on speaking terms. Harris once explained low attendance at a rally by saying the airport hangar originally booked for the event had been damaged when a tree fell on it. The story was false.
-- Harris pledged to spend $10 million of her own money on the race. The money never materialized.
-- In an interview with a religious publication, Harris said voters should elect only "Christians, tried and true." She said "if you’re not electing Christians then in essence you are going to legislate sin."
-- And more than one staffer said Harris announced that God wanted her to become a senator. When a senior adviser heard that, he reportedly replied, "Maybe God wants you to run because he really wants Bill Nelson to become a senator."

9. Oh, I think she will become a footnote in history.
You can't even begin to explain to the kids what was going on in the State of Florida to account for the 2000 election without flashing a picture of Katherine Harris.

It would be like trying to explain the impeachment of Bill Clinton in 1998 without flashing the photo of Paula Jones posing with her bare ass to the camera with her quote in captions about being just a po little country girl.

11. Wow-Wow-Wee-Wowwww...

-- Ex staff members told stories of Harris raging over petty things, yelling at aides, for example, because they'd brought her the wrong coffee. ***** (They didn't even know how to approach the possum queen)

-- At times, she and the truth weren't on speaking terms. Harris once explained low attendance at a rally by saying the airport hangar originally booked for the event had been damaged when a tree fell on it. The story was false. ***** (A republican that don't lie ain't got nothin' to say)

-- Harris pledged to spend $10 million of her own money on the race. The money never materialized. ***** (The lady needed cash money to improve upon her own gawd given personal endowments)(Spunk and Moxie)

-- In an interview with a religious publication, Harris said voters should elect only "Christians, tried and true." She said "if you’re not electing Christians then in essence you are going to legislate sin." ***** (The "Christians, Tried and True" part had something to do with the over use of that trademark Tammy Faye style lead based war paint)(total chemical meltdown of the brain, I'd imagine)

-- And more than one staffer said Harris announced that God wanted her to become a senator. When a senior adviser heard that, he reportedly replied, "Maybe God wants you to run because he really wants Bill Nelson to become a senator." ***** (Does the GOP or former congress-lady Harris expect anyone, to believe that Gawd is that damned stupid?)

14. That great country radio personality Lester Moran once said that,

"A man that don't lie ain't got nothing to say!" I just doctored that famous old Lester Moran "The Old Roadhog" assertion a tiny bit.

Do check out..."The Complete Lester "Roadhog" Moran & The Cadillac Cowboys"

Edit...The story I heard, was that Katharine is probably a clandestine lobbyist for Earl Scheib Paint & Body co. due to her vast and ginormous experience with war paints and her assorted and sundry body filler applications.
