.......... neither did I.

Our media is fucking worthless. NONE of this shit would have been possible were it not for their complicity.

Breaking up the corporate media is JOB NUMBER ONE. More important than ending the war and more important than health care. With an HONEST media, anything is possible. With a lying, complicit media, the propaganda just gets catapulted and catapulted ....... over ..... and over ...... and over.

1. CBS had a link on their main page...
...ABC had a story, no link on the main page, NBC no story.

FOX? Who the hell cares!

2. not me
I was oblivious to it, until checking DU this morning. Boy do I wish I would have merely changed channels to C-SPAN last night.

3. There are many justifiable complaints about the media
the fact that they ignored a no hope bill of impeachment isn't really one of them. This isn't news.

10. And the war in Iraq was inevitable
so why should we expect them to be socially responsible?

It's a business, baby, and impeachment is a big downer. Is Obama Biracial? Now THAT'S HOT.

11. Introducing 35 articles of impeachment against a sitting president isn't news?
Since when?

14. By that logic
...the Dems must be real heroes to you, since they use the same logic for not doing what they should.

15. No not really
Some of them I admire a great deal, but others seem more like sellouts. That said, if I were in congress, I would think this proposal was more about Kucinich than about real progress. It's an election year, we need to focus on electing Democrats, not on impeachment.

6. It will never grow legs as a movement, but that doesn't mean it isn't news worthy.
Impeachment for a blow job wasn't newsworthy either ..... and where did that go?

7. It is newsworthy when the House impeaches and the Senate tries.
It's only happened twice, you know. That's news.

16. Funny how everyone knew about it before it happened in the house
...over Clinton's blow job. Not one article was filed at the time, but it was all over the news. Why not this time? Why the double standard?

Certainly the level of crime differ between them, but that would argue in favor of covering a Bush impeachment over the Clinton one, wouldn't it?

Occam's razor has nothing to do with this, by the way. Occam's doesn't determine truth, but rather, what is the easiest explanation to test. The testing still has to be done. Has anyone tested whether or not the media intentionally buries newsworthy stories? We certainly have numerous examples, don't we?

9. Yeah good luck with all that....s'never going to happen though....
....it is what it is and always has been...so I wouldn't hold my breath that anybody will make that change EVER...as long as everyone still PAYS for TV...you reap what you sow...after next Feb. when it all goes digital that's the END of TV in my household...as I've not paid for TV since 1990 and the ONLY station I'll miss is PBS...eventhough it has deteriorated like all the rest in the last 8 years. :nopity:

20. No doubt about it
when the nixonians fell they vowed to buy up the majot news in this country because they felt that if they could have controlled the message coming out of Viet Nam they wouldn't have had to retreat and likewise nixon wouldn't have been forced from office. yea these sorry bastards have been at getting us where we are today for a long long time. I can myself vouch for that since the mid '60s and I know they were in full blown treasons mode way back then so no telling just how long its been going on. Something tells me if it was scruitinized closely that it very well may be found it began with the failed coup of the early '30s. These treasonous bastards should have been taken out on several occasions long before now. Like Richard Clark said recently, we just can't let them back into polite society ever again.
