I've been away all day. What's the NEXT STEP with Kucinich's IMPEACHMENT resolution? |
|
Has the House debated or voted on it yet? Has it been tabled? Moved to Jud. Committee?
I haven't been able to discern anything from DU or the Web on what is next.
Thanks.

1. No idea, but I'd always go to the default position: CALL YOUR REPS. |
|
Talk this one UP! The one thing we can ALWAYS do is plug the shit out of it, and try to keep interest up, or generate more interest in it. Needs to be said, read, and spread. Go massive. Go viral.

5. House Rule 9 - Questions of the Privileges of the House |
|
"A resolution offered from the floor by a Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner other than the Majority Leader or the Minority Leader as a question of the privileges of the House shall have precedence of all other questions except motions to adjourn only at a time or place, designated by the Speaker, in the legislative schedule within two legislative days after the day on which the proponent announces to the House his intention to offer the resolution and the form of the resolution."
In two days it will be voted on. I don't know if he introduced it after the House concluded it's session yesterday or not, so I don't know if the vote will be held tomorrow or Thursday.

7. Thank you. I assume this means all the normal options apply (tabling, debating, referral, etc) |
