I voted today.
Very tiny turnout, my ballot # was in the 30s. We have a Democratic primary today in Northern Virginia to fill Rep Tom Davis's Seat. Davis is retiring because he can't stand the thought of a Democratic majority. Davis, while liked by many Democrats in this area is a grandstanding pos. He voted against H.R. 400: War Profiteering Prevention Act of 2007 (To prohibit profiteering and fraud relating to military action, relief, and reconstruction efforts, and for other purposes.) He was one of only 3 people to vote against this bill in the House.

The race had 5-6 Democrats. The two leaders are Gerry Connolly and Leslie Byrne. Byrne and Emily's List filled up my mail box (2-3 per day) with attacks ads. I hate to see the negative campaigning in a primary, but whoever wins will be a huge improvement over Davis.

1. I did too! In Maine.
I live in a very small town there was only one other person there when I was there. I was in and out and my twins were literally running circles around me as I was filling out my ballots. My husband already voted by absentee ballot last week.

Here is an article that gives some details about our race better than I can explain with my two running around behind me:

2. Davis is retiring?
Good. He stayed too long. I'm in Alexandria, so there's no voting here today, but good for you. Any Democrat will be better than Davis.
