7. Edwards!
John Edwards is too good to waste on just one state. He has said openly that he does not want the VP slot; I think it's because he knows that he belongs in the AG slot.

And yes, he'll have his work cut out for him, but I can't think of a better candidate.

This is the Republican prosecutor who did not indict Karl Rove, Dick Cheney or George Bush!

Looks like the set up a fall back and a pardon from the onset, and are still covering up the evidence.

10. No, he's independent AFAIK. Non-political is how he termed himself,
which is a good trait. And if he had the goods, I'm sure people would have been indicted. The Plame investigation was narrow in scope, not about * or Cheney. I wish someone had the cojones to hand him that task.
