Bush: 'I fucked up' (Ok, not an EXACT quote, but...)
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 01:11 AM by LuckyTheDog
Even BUSH is turning away from the Bush policies. But McCain wants to continue them? Why?

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article4107327.ece

President Bush has admitted to The Times that his gun-slinging rhetoric made the world believe that he was a “guy really anxious for war” in Iraq. He said that his aim now was to leave his successor a legacy of international diplomacy for tackling Iran.

In an exclusive interview, he expressed regret at the bitter divisions over the war and said that he was troubled about how his country had been misunderstood. “I think that in retrospect I could have used a different tone, a different rhetoric.”

Phrases such as “bring them on” or “dead or alive”, he said, “indicated to people that I was, you know, not a man of peace”. He said that he found it very painful “to put youngsters in harm’s way”. He added: “I try to meet with as many of the families as I can. And I have an obligation to comfort and console as best as I possibly can. I also have an obligation to make sure that those lives were not lost in vain.”

8. The real agenda
Bush will offer weak regrets here and there about what he did. Maybe he actually feels that way, but that won't stop his apologists from pushing their agenda.

I think the real agenda is to maintain the far right's political authority against mass opposition both domestic and foreign. If they are stubborn enough then maybe they think dissenters will eventually give up. To that, I say NEVER!

4. Too little, too late! As more innocent people die for corporate profits. So the liar Bush
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 02:09 AM by GreenTea
is now concerned with his legacy, and wants to be forgiven, bullshit!

Bush is a republican fascist, dictator, an imperialist, a psychopathic killer. Our economy, environment, infrastructure, social programs and security are now left in shambles, sending jobs elsewhere for more corporate profits as he cut taxes for the rich & corporations while giving them subsidies so his oil buddies can extort more from us at the pumps.

All so his greedy corporate friends can continue stealing our tax dollars, so he could be a "war time president" to ensure his criminal lies, torture fixed information for an illegal invasion and domestic spying tactics would shield him as he created this intentional paradox.

Bush proved what republicans priorities are truly all about, and what their ideology and agenda are really all about...corporate profits, privatizing & deregulation, busting unions, despising workers, the poor, our veterans and the elderly, all while waving the flag...a flag he's turned into of fear, terrorism and corruption....with absolutely no regard what so ever for our Constitution but to hide behind "executive privilege" with his lies, vindictiveness, character assassination & distortions.

10. WHAT???
Phrases such as “bring them on” or “dead or alive”, he said, “indicated to people that I was, you know, not a man of peace”.

:wtf:

Yeah Einstein, it was the phrases that made us think this. Not the two wars you've already started and the possible third one we're all worried about.

14. It's all about "rhetoric" and "strategy" nowadays....
I see McClellan's point. It's all a big game. I mean, I knew it, but didn't comprehend how pervasive it had become. When I finally watched some Sunday shows a few weeks ago, all the guests were referred to as "strategists." No one cares about the business and responsibility of governing. No one cares about the country or her people. It's a big game of rhetoric, propaganda, and strategy. To what end? Winning. But, winning what? Billion-dollar contracts for their buddies? Obtaining a more powerful "strategic" position? I dare say most of these people don't even know the ultimate goal of their strategic efforts. Those at the very top do; not the others. They're distracted just as the media and those in power are distracting the populace.

15. I just watched his press conference with Merkel
he does not regret invading Iraq - he merely regrets the tone he used. In other words he's just upset that he's hated in 'Old' Europe.

They aren't some fucking kids jumping ramps on their bikes in the street, you goddam creep.

This isn't army men out in the backyard, which is the closest you ever came to combat.
