Opportunity for Obama folks to help out in the Iowa & Indiana flooded areas
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 11:15 AM by 1776Forever
I had placed this post on the other day when I saw someone talking about the Indiana and Iowa area floods:

When I hear someone say that “all politicians are alike” I tell them they don’t know about Sen. Barack Obama yet!

Please read the following and pass it around! This is the truth people, not stupid emails that make no sense to the middle-class person who believe everything they read or hear!

Remember when McCain and Bush were eating McCain's Birthday cake on the day Katrina happened?

Well, here's what Obama was doing:

* Sept. 2, 2005: Obama holds press conference urging Illinoisans to contribute to the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

* Sept. 5, 2005: Obama goes to Houston to visit evacuees with Presidents Clinton and Bush.

* Sept. 7, 2005: Obama introduces bill to create a national emergency family locater system

* Sept. 8, 2005: Obama introduces bill to create a National Emergency Volunteers Corps.

* Sept. 8, 2005: Obama co-sponsors the Katrina Emergency Relief Act of 2005 introduced by Senator Harry Reid

* Sept. 8, 2005: Obama co-sponsors the Hurricane Katrina Bankruptcy Relief and Community Protection Act of 2005 introduced by Senator Russ Feingold

* Sept. 12, 2005: Obama introduces legislation requiring states to create an emergency evacuation plan for society’s most vulnerable

* Sept. 15, 2005: Obama issues public response to President Bush’s speech about Gulf Coast rebuilding.

...........

Then I had someone ask me what Obama was doing for the Mid West flooding victims and then I saw a post on the Obama.com site that said that this would be a great opportunity for the Obama folks to come in with some needed supplies to those areas. Just thought I would pass this along and hope that someone up that way might consider this.

Thanks and hope the needs of those in the flooded areas is taken care of soon!

2. OK changed it out - it was exactly as the lady stated it on the Obama site though
I think it is a good time for Obama to give some kind of input into how this is being handled. I have seen a lot of people from that area saying that they have gotten very little help so far!
