oil up $4.50 since this morning to rougly $136. market down 170.

1. Probably

It has been the plan on wall street for some time to get it up to $150 so they can make a huge killing in the market. They don't care how much damage it's doing to the economy just as long as they get those outrageous profits, that's all they care about! There was a post earlier about how Bush could get the regulators in the stock market to end this, but he won't do it. He could also start dumping oil from the reserves on the market, they could raise interest rates, and there were a couple of other things, but that doesn't benefit his base of the "super rich" so it won't happen. Good I hate this administration! :mad:

Unfortunately the speculators are so greedy that getting it to $150 wont be enough.

After $150, $175 will become their next target, then $200, then....

If the CFTC (the agency with oversight authority over commodity trading) doesnt start trying to get the speculators under control soon, we as a country will be screwed.
