What are the issues?
Who has the most insane preacher/minister?

Who is the youngest and therefore without experience or who is the oldest and therefore is assumed to have experiences that will lead him to make wise choices?

Who can best lead this country to, through and for war for the next number of years?

Who is black, or half black, and who is white?

Who says the right things for the cameras and who says the right things for the country?

Can they possibly find a more beautiful talking head than Norah McDonnell? Who cares about the news when it is all about watching who is "reporting" it?

How to keep the most powerful country and all the vulnerable people in it "safe"?

How about these issues:

Poverty and how to lessen the pain.
War and how to find ways to stop killing people.
Tolerance for others beliefs and ways of life.

We are so bogged down in the small ideas, that we can't see the miles and miles of healthy tomatoes that stretch out before us.

I am sick of this country and the foolish bickering.

What are the issues? Surely not the ones that matter in our personal lives, and could make them better.

The issues are related to small mindedness, ignorance and whatever the sunny faced "reporter" tells us they are.

What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?

1. I agree with you.
It's time to get down to the "real" issues, and stop all the other crap that gets us nowhere. The economy is tanking, Oil is the major cause of this. The war is sucking our tax money down the tubes. Our health care is unaffordable. Our soldiers are dying in Bush's war for oil, and nothing is being down about it. We need to keep these things front and center and stop talking about things that are just BS issues!

2. Unfortunetly, the only issue that matters is...
...who can avoid getting caught saying something stupid the least. That's all any election is about.

3. but what is defined as being stupid
is defined and talked about endlessly by the beautiful talking faces on tv. It doesn't matter whether or not it is really something "stupid". It will be drilled into the american psyche that is is and was stupid whether or not it really was. And, the truly stupid thing is that people listen, and care about what they tell you to care about.

4. Elections, in this country, are not about issues.
