I came on board during the GDP phase I guess, so what's the deal here is this sort of a free for all forum? Can I post about my dogs ability to pick his nose or that my check engine light that won't go out? I feel so free!

Government at all levels is suitable game, politics are OK now that the primary season has thankfully come to a close, historical reminders, up to date news, and repeating anything gleaned from C-Span is certainly OK. Opinions are welcome and while its awfully nice to see them supported by fact indeed few are. Cute stories about you dog are perfectly fine so long as they end in your recanting the tale of the day he pissed on a Republican's foot; a picture should accompany the story if available.

On Edit: Responses are probably more interesting reading than most original posts; the fun is to see if you can distinguish which replies come from people who are drinking and which come from people smoked up; its not hard to do.
