Why Hasn't Anyone Said "We'll Prosecute Those Bastards If Elected"?
I keep listening and watching but I don't hear anyone saying that the next Attorney General will be tasked with investigating the activities of the current administration and taking appropriate legal action where laws have been broken. I want to know that there is a dedicated team of lawyers with adequate funding to dig and dig and dig for as long as it takes and I want action when illegality has been found. Has anyone promised us that and I missed it? If not, why not?

1. Is that legal? Wouldn't that provide ammunition to the defense?
They can claim their prosecution is politically motivated.

Obama would ask his AG to "immediately review" potential of crimes in Bush White House

4. If he doesn't, we're certainly in a position to demand it.
We're so used to the last 8 years of hell that we've forgotten that WE are the government.

5. Thank you for the link - I read it - it is not strong enough, no where near
There are crimes that have been committed, they have been noted in the Congressional Record al la Dennis Kucinich. So there is no reason to pussyfoot around the issue or to use the dodge of 'bad policy'. I want assurances that a Task Force will be created for no other purpose than to bring criminals from the current Administration to justice. Nothing less will do.

6. Impeachment will get no traction unless sexual misconduct can be alleged.

7. Because the general electorate isn't full of people who want to hear that.
And we can't prosecute anything unless Obama wins.

8. The way I see it, Obama has to -
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 01:59 PM by brandnewlaptop
If only for his benefit - Look what happened to our last Dem pres -

Carter - Iran/Contra/Hostages - Clinton - impeachment and the Arkansas project. Until people face consequences for their actions, there will never be any change. Why should they change? They have no respect for this country and the challenges we face, it is all about the power, and the ability to shift the money up to them.

I am sure that Obama's Arkansas project is already being formed, in the dark, skanky, swamps where these people live.

9. Because we do not have a sizable majority, and because bi-partisanship
has become the buzzword of the century:(

All politicians try to out-nice each other..

It's why Iran Contra let most of the roaches escape..and why they came back to haunt us for the last 8 years and Bush1's term too..
