So the Republicans squashed an energy bill yesterday that could have
offered relief at the gas pump. Apparently, they don't seem to care about the outcome of the election. If they are trying to railroad Obama, it might backfire on them. I find the lock step on this issue by Senate Republicans to be a rather curious way to shoot themselves in the foot.

1. It is being spun, though
the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, a right wing rag, had as its headline something like "Republican Senators block oil tax increase." Nothing about what it was really about.
