$4.79 for regular unleaded this morning.
Meyers, Nevada, just out of Tahoe.

Tahoe Tommy's always has the lowest gasoline prices in town. When they closed last night, gas was $4.49. When they opened this morning, it was $4.55.

I don't know how people manage.

6. I'm thinking about buying a bicycle.
It's 7.5 miles to work so it would mean a 15-mile trip every day. Well, almost everyday.

3. It's about 4.59 in the San Fernando Valley
They say it's supposed to be 4.15 average for the rest of the year which means like, what, 6 dollars here?

13. $4.45 at Oakdale and Ventura in Tarzana.
I put $40 in last night and didn't quite get 9 gallons.

At least I can take the bus to the office if I can't afford gas anymore. Sigh.

16. I'm in Chatsworth and I haven't really seen anything cheaper
than $4.59 unless it was at Arco or Valero. Either way, it's a crappy situation. I've definitely cut down on my driving and am trying to extend my tank for two weeks. Yay for small cars! :)

4. Just filled up for $3.799/gal at Costco.
I don't expect the price to last much longer, though. :(

10. Jeez, went up 10 cents here in NM to $3.89 on Monday
and today we got a huge price break, all the way down to $3.86. This particular station is the closest to me and anybody who buys gas there on a Monday is thick as a plank, since they seem to do the same thing every week.

$3.95 is the price close to I-40. I imagine small towns all over the state are already over four bucks.

I look at what's happening on both coasts and feel relatively lucky.

12. around $4.59 in the Sacramento area. I have to fill up tonight :(
I ride the train to work but still have to drive 6 miles to the train station. I am glad that my car gets around 36 mpg.

14. I saw a place on I-80 just south of Sacto...
that is offering a 20 cent/gal discount for cash.

The station was pretty big and had blue signage.

18. Sounds like a great deal. I live north of Sac and board the train in Roseville
South Sac is a little too far off :)

And, usually, there is a huge line at the cheaper gas stations with a bunch of p*ssed off people waiting.

If I wouldn't have the train, it would cost me about $9 just to get to work and $6 in parking. It cost me about $1.50 to drive to the train station and the monthly ticket is $150.

:wtf:

This is at a local station. Glad I bought a whole gallon on Monday!! :sarcasm:

News says the (someone in Gov) that the gas prices should stay steady now until mid August
and then jump to $4.15 but not much higher, at least until 2009. Heard that on WBZ-TV Boston.
