So says Ann Coulter, followed by her reason:
It is unquestionable that Bush has made this country safe by keeping Islamic lunatics pinned down fighting our troops in Iraq. In the past few years, our brave troops have killed more than 20,000 al-Qaida and other Islamic militants in Iraq alone. That's 20,000 terrorists who will never board a plane headed for JFK -- or a landmark building, for that matter
Anyone not want to question this. I mean let's put a side the fact no Iraqi terrorist attacked the US on 9/11, exactly how many of the "20,000" terrorist are fighting to protect Islamic soil, compared to planning and willing to offensively attack the US on our soil for conquest? That we don't know the answer to this tells me how much the president hasn't told me about the war in Iraq (like who are we fighting, even John McCain doesn't seem to know). Anyways wasn't homeland security suppose to fix the whole flying here thing, am I to believe at this late date "keeping them busy" is the only thing Bush has done to prevent another 9/11? Sadly it is, want to sign up for the military to "keep them busy" so Ann can go shoe shopping in peace?
Anyways do you feel safe? How about you the American that gave up your chance at surviving your cancer because you lack healthcare coverage to kill 20,000 (more like a million) Iraq citizens, do you feel safer. How about you, the foreclosed homeless American because American government discarded oversight to kill 20,000 Iraq citizens (that never attacked or declared war on us), do you feel safer. How about you, the out of work American, that has given up looking for new work (so has magically fallen off the unemployed count), because trickle down economics still doesn't work, do you feel safer. How about you the person that can't afford to drive (or eat?) except for getting to and from work (to make money to pay for your fuel) because the president thought alternative energy was "too costly" to invest in so saved the money to kill 20,000 Iraqi citizens, do you feel safer? How about you the American in Iraq (possibly stoplosted for 100 years) giving up your life (4000+) yet some how your death doesn't matter to people like Ann (oddly dieing for America doesn't make you an American death, go figure) to kill 20,000 Iraqi citizens, do you feel safer? How about you, the American living in a potential disaster area (earthquake, hurricane, tornado zone), that has seen his national guard sent overseas and Bush place civil servants to posts based on loyalty rather than expertise to kill 20,000 Iraqi citizens, do you feel safer? It's 8 years later and America's infrastructure is worse off, America's relations with foreign countries is worse off, America's economy is worse off, America's rule of law is worse off and America's military is worse off... I think it's safe to say because Bush managed to get American's killed off camera instead of on camera, he isn't going to rank as marginally acceptable, yet alone great.
