All america's problems are because we aren't drilling in ANWR. Brownback is up now, I'm sure I will need some antacid soon.

1. Fuck 'em all. Republicans, there is just no legitimate use for them.
GOP: All war, all the time. That's all they've got. :puke:

5. Doorstops
You can use Republicans as doorstops, an occupation for which they are supremely suited. All they have to do is sit there, unmoving, resistant to change. They will provide a conversation piece in any home's decor as they hunker down and prevent a door's being opened or closed by the vicissitudes of changing winds.

You can dress and decorate them for holidays, keeping the mood festive.

I suggest every family bring in a Republican as a doorstop. It will keep them useful and out of trouble while providing amusement for climbing kiddies.

The Republican, not the Siamese, of course.

3. Has any Dem cited the study that claims only 75 cents per barrel
would be saved if drilling in ANWR were allowed? Why don't they hit back with that and shut these whiners down?

21. Of course not. They are full bore on gas would drop 20%
And just the fact that we are drilling means the Saudi's would lower gas prices because we have the balls to drill for our own. That makes absolutely no sense to me at all, but its what "they" are saying.

4. Oh god.
Brownback's talking about the tornado damage and acts like he's concerned about the residents. This is pure crap because he doesn't visit with Kansans. I made appointments and sat outside his office at least half a dozen times to talk to him but he was always too busy or couldn't fit me in.

What a lying loser.

6. Just so you know, the latest poll has Ted, long known as Alaska's "Senator for Life" LOSING BY 7%
Mark Begich, the mayor of Anchorage and son of our late Democratic Congressman, Nick Begich, would get 51% to Ted's 44% if the vote were held today.

http://www.blogowogo.com/blog_article.php?aid=1499956&t=11

If it weren't for the 50 State Strategy, this wouldn't be possible.

Send one to whomever wins our Democratic U.S. House primary too(I'm backing Diane Benson (http://www.bensonforcongress.com))since either one of them has an excellent shot at sending Don Young(the Congressman who once lost to Mark's dad, Nick Begich, AFTER NICK HAD DIED!)to the political boneyard this fall.

A clean sweep would be nice.

However, she'll be a first-term incumbent, and will thus be at her most vulnerable at that time.

7. 'Ole Ted's
Seeing his visions of riches from his corrupt exploiting of his home state go up in smoke.

He knows if drilling in Anwar passes, he personally will profit from it. Poor 'Ole Ted. I sincerely hope the people of Alaska send him into retirement when he is next up for election.

14. Peter DeFazio was on Thom Hartmann yesterday stating some
eyeopening facts the Dems should use every time this drilling subject comes up!

In summary, he said the oil companies have been given the OK to drill 25 exploratory wells, and have drilled NONE SO FAR! They insist they need to drill offshore, but they've been issued 10,000 offshore permits, and have used only 4,000 of them! They insist on drilling in ANWR but they have NO IDEA if there is really any oil there!

The oil companies deliberately closed 200 refineries because they WANTED to reduce supply and increase their profits. There are internal company memos to prove that. The price of fuel IS high because of supply & demand, BUT it's an artificial shortage designed by the oil companies themselves!

36. The market is being manipulated for several reasons..
1) Americans will soon be FORCED to drastically cut their fuel consumption, so they're squeezing every last dollar out of us now

2) Bush and Cheney cut a deal with the Saudis and the oil industry

3) China will soon have more power to wield in the market than we do, if they don't already
