McCain bumper stickers ... |
|
has anyone seen a vehicle with one on it? I live in a tourist area of NC - every day I see lots of Obama bumper stickers (both on the backs of locals vehicles and out-of-state vehicles) and still an occasional Hillary or Ron Paul sticker (not to mention many Kerry/Edwards and a few */Darth stickers) but I have yet to see a McCain bumper sticker here.
Today I had to travel out of town for a meeting (to a more conservative area of the state) and the only McCain sign I saw was in the window of a building in downtown Kinston (a smallish town). It said: "Veterans Against Insane McCain".
I know bumper stickers don't really mean squat, but still I find it interesting that McCain supporters apparently don't like their candidate enough to show it.

1. I haven't seen any either.. I think they stole it for McCain back in January |
|
when they still had the touch screens to who knows what machines.. I never saw one single McCain sign or sticker or anything.. I saw a ton of Ron Paul and Fred Thompson.. Nothing for McCain.

Fortunately, I'm seeing more and more Obama stickers in Oak Park, Elmwood Park, Berwyn, and the surrounding areas every day! :patriot: :woohoo:

5. I have classes with a guy who has had a sticker |
|
since at least December. Kid's a real class act, very bright, actually the youngest elected official in the history of Pennsylvania. He liked McCain before he warmed up to Bush. I haven't talked to him about how he feels now.

You're in a fairly Democratic state and you're suburban, right next to an urban area that's solidly "blue," but it seems like I must know almost every lib'rul in your area.
Is it a new-money 'burb or somethin'?

15. Saw my first one just about 2 hours ago. |
|
The mini-van also had a "proud member of the vast right wing conspiracy" sticker as well. Driven by a middle aged woman with a kid in a car seat.
But really, this is Texas. I've seen exactly one.

|
and I live in an all Repug district and area of town. There's one Obama sign in a front yard around the corner.
They're probably waiting for The VP guy to give them some life.

When I was in Bloomington Indiana I saw tons of Obama stickers and a few Hillary, but no McCains. But that is Bloomington, arguably the most progressive town in Indiana.
Here at rural indiana I have seen a couple of Obama stickers and signs, but no McCain anything. The radical right hates McCain because he believes in Global warming and works with progressive senators. Ask them about 'McCain-Feingold' or 'McCain-Kennedy'.

22. I saw one today on a 1962 Studebaker, of all things. |
|
But it kind of fits. A retro car for a retro candidate. I'm sure that in Johnny's mind, it IS 1962.
But I had to wonder why someone would want to spoil an otherwise pristeen vintage auto with any kind of bumper sticker.
