If tomorrow you could impeach and remove either Scalia or Bush which one would you impeach? |
|
I am not sure which one has done more long term damage to the USA.

Scalia will remain a threat for as long as he is on the bench, which is for life.

In that 7 months he can still invade Iran which would mean more innocent people would die in Iran, and more of our soldiers would die. It would also cause the middle east to "blow" up which could mean millions and millions of deaths of innocent people, and future for our children of fighting a world war. Sorry, but I think Bush is more dangerous at the moment!
Also Bush would appoint a replacement if we did it now. Don't think that would be good!

I mean, if they can shoot bolts of lightning every now and then into Strom Thurmond and keep him around until the battery fries, just think what they can do with the caveman ...

Bush is outta there in but a few months. Perhaps he can find lodging in a European prison. Scalia, on the other hand, we are likely to have to endure for a number of more years, and the man is ever bit as much of a pox on the reputation of humanity as Bush.

He has undermined the fundament of our nation by destroying the rule of law. His crimes are so transcendent they defy categorization. He, and not the odious Scalia, has the power, the will, and the intent to wage war against yet another soverign nation, Iran. Bush MUST be impeached and removed from office; then indicted in a criminal court and imprisioned for the rest of his disgusting life.

Scalia is, contrary to popular opinion, pretty strong on civil rights issues. In Hamdi, for example, he argued that the Constitution requires that Hamdi (an American citizen held as an enemy combatant) be charged with a crime or released. His opinion there was more anti-executive-power than anyone elses except maybe Souter's. (Souter is my favorite justice.)

1. bu$h is nothing more than a puppet, a funny face in front of the camera, the real action is with Cheney and the boys (Kindasleazy and crew)
2. bu$h's term is over in 8 months, After that he can be hauled out kicking and screaming straight to jail.
3. Scalia is part of the Neocon network, he was put on the Supreme Court because of his position in the Neocon organization.
4. Scalia controls the court for the most part.
5. Scalia is appointed to the court for life. Impeaching him removes that stench from the court and it can begin to cleanse the stains he has left on Justice.

|
And the Dem Senate could probably stave off a replacement for Scalia until 2009, or at least force a less awful pick.

Because he's the one who put Chimpy in the White House.
