Hahahahaha, political email spam
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 09:08 PM by Juche
Someone I know sent me some email spam that was forwarded to about 20 people, including me. I assume mostly right wingers with a few left wingers (myself).

So I replied with an email of my own including links about how Obama's tax plan will give 3x more tax cuts to the middle class than McCain, how the economy does better under democrats and the middle class get more economic growth, how the GOP causes bigger deficit growth, how the Iraq war will cost $3 trillion, etc. Basically a list of facts showing why I am a democrat and why the GOP is inept and only benefits the wealthy.

So I get an email back from some rabid right winger (she mentions CNN, the communist news network) telling everyone to report me as spam.

Lol. I hope I don't lose my email account or get it suspended but LOL. At least I hit a nerve.

5. Right, and you shouldn't be in any danger if she does
send the email with all the addresses on it to your ISP as proof of your spamming.

Fifty addresses would probably get you into trouble.

I've had people like that threaten my ISP and have simply forwarded the original email and their reply to all to them when they've contacted me about it.

I've then forwarded it to the complainant's ISP and let the chips fall where they may.

Nobody's bothered me twice.
