Photos: Bush Protest in Rome
Hi all, sharing a message to our group about the Bush protest in Rome on Wednesday, as well as some photos. Steph

The march in Rome yesterday was a success, with thousands participating and a great turnout from our group, U.S. Citizens for Peace & Justice. James Gilligan of Iraq Veterans Against the War spoke and musicians/activists Mat Callahan and Yvonne Moore came down from Switzerland to play at the end of the march.

Our three criminals Bush (Greg), Cheney (Becky) and Rice (Little Maria), were constantly surrounded by photographers, especially after painting their hands red, as were Rose's interminable list of Bush Admin war crimes, our brand new banner courtesy of Gen and the seven IMPEACH t-shirts. Joan of CodePink, on holiday in Italy, kept us chanting the entire way and stunned the Carabinieri when she tried to turn over our criminals for arrest.

Good luck to our French "cousins" of Americans Against War as they protest Bush today in Paris!

War Criminals!

2. email from friend
My husband received an email from a friend in Italy and he read it to me--I would say 3/4 of it was a rant against bush and cheney. He was going to the protests, so I'll be looking for his picture!

3. Great! There is also a lot of anger...
...at the Italian government continuing to support the failed policies of the Bush Admin, and follow the path of ever more militarization.

12. Italian may be, but Merkin is not necessarily.
Most of the time it is, but I guess it may depend on one's accent.

24. So cool to see they are showing Bush they're aware of the 5 Cubans he's keeping
in prison on trumped up charges, 5 men who are national heroes for trying to learn what the Miami terrorists were planning against Cuba and Cubans in order to protect themselves from the next wave of bombing. They took their information they had gathered to the FBI, and the FBI ARRESTED THEM. Simply unforgiveable! Truly evil.

Romans are telling Bush they know what he did to the "Cuban 5."

Your links are wonderful, stephinrome. You've done us all an enormous favor. Thank you.
