GOP officials accuse AP, newspapers of bias, for poining out their corruption
Gov. Matt Blunt and the Missouri Republican Party this week sought to portray the legal maneuvers of three Missouri media outlets in the e-mail scandal surrounding Blunt's office as media bias.

On Wednesday, the Associated Press, St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Kansas City Star asked a Cole County judge to let them join a government lawsuit that accuses Blunt or a deputy of ordering the destruction of backup e-mail tapes to avoid open-records requests by the Post-Dispatch and AP last fall.

Blunt's press secretary, Jessica Robinson, responded with a fiery statement, pulling out the "liberal" media card.

"We are extremely disappointed that in the middle of a political campaign the state's two most liberal newspapers, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Kansas City Star, would join forces with the campaign of Jay Nixon, the Democrat candidate for governor," Robinson said.

A little over three hours later, Missouri Republican Party Executive Director Jared Craighead sent out his own statement, claiming the two papers "are in fact adjuncts of the Democrat Party."

"Just when we thought the big-city liberal media in Missouri couldn't be any more biased, we learned today that the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Kansas City Star have joined Jay Nixon's campaign for governor with their collaboration with Nixon's operatives in a political lawsuit against the governor," Craighead said.

1. Oh,and breaking the law is always okay,if you are a republican.
Sorry, Gov. Matt Blunt and the Missouri Republican it is time to face laws made to protect the public good.

Corporate and political immunity to law is not what the constitution is all about.
