5. Yes. We can impeach both of them at the same time.

They have to get consent from Congress to appoint a new VP to become president -- That is exactly what happened with Nixon. Agnew went first, and then when Nixon was about to be impeached, he quit, and Ford ultimately became president. Ford was defeated in 1976 by Jimmy Carter. Ford never served a full term.

I need to correct my chronology. Agnew left in 1973 and Ford immediately became Vice President, receiving the consent of Congress since he had served as minority leader in the House. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Ford

Still, Ford did not serve a complete term. Nixon was elected in 1968 and again in 1972.

Ford was never actually elected by the people to either VP or president.

6. I would rather have the 2 of them arrested on January 20, 2009

...as they are leaving the White House and VP mansion, and taken to prison. Subsequently I would like them to be tried for all the high crimes and misdemeanors that can be dug up between now and then. Finally I would like to see them both stripped of all personal wealth, and forced to work as chicken pluckers.

There are others who I would like to see arrested on or before Jan 20, 2009, including Karl Rove, Jeb Bush, and a host of others.

7. That was my stance as well

But I was told that unless they are impeached, Bush would STILL have the power to pardon himself ahead of time, by putting the pardon in just before he leaves. (It doesn't make total sense to me, but I guess it's a way the bastards can avoid arrests and trials.)

Regardless, the ones who are going to lose in the end are us--the citizens. We've already been screwed royally, and not much is going to change.
